Overview

Puerto Rico’s Day at the Ballpark is a series of celebratory events produced by 21 Events Inc. that honor Puerto Rico’s 125-year baseball legacy. The series took place across Major League Baseball stadiums in the United States from July to September 2023, celebrating Puerto Rican players with bespoke artwork, live music, first pitch ceremonies, and extensive TV/radio promotions through regional sports networks (RSNs). The campaign debuted in cities such as Arlington, New York, Boston, Detroit, and Atlanta, with additional stops added in Minneapolis and Pittsburgh. Each event was designed to not only celebrate the contributions of Puerto Rican players but also to showcase Puerto Rico’s rich cultural heritage to a national audience.

Celebrating 125 Year Baseball Legacy

The challenge was to execute a cohesive and impactful series of events across multiple cities, each with its unique logistics, honorees, and audience expectations. Our goal was to ensure that each activation was not only seamless but also culturally resonant, amplifying the PRCDA’s mission of promoting Puerto Rican culture.

Pitch Deck & Proposal

Our involvement began with the creation of detailed pitch decks and PR proposal decks to secure sponsors and media coverage. These materials were designed to effectively communicate the vision and objectives of the series, laying the groundwork for successful partnerships and widespread media attention.

Logo & Brand Development

We developed the series event logo and overall branding to ensure a cohesive visual identity across all activations. The branding captured the spirit of Puerto Rico’s baseball legacy while aligning with the broader cultural themes of the campaign.

Marketing Strategy & Media Outreach

We designed and implemented a comprehensive marketing strategy, incorporating digital campaigns, media outreach, and social media management. Our efforts ensured that each event received maximum visibility, both locally and nationally. We also led media outreach efforts, distributing press releases and media alerts to secure extensive coverage.

Onsite Event Management & Logistics

Managing the logistics for each event was crucial to the campaign’s success. We oversaw the execution of activities at each stadium, including live music performances, first pitch ceremonies, and bespoke artwork presentations. Our team ensured that all elements were flawlessly executed, creating memorable experiences for both attendees and honorees.

Production Coordination & Sponsor Relations

We coordinated all production elements, including the design and placement of stadium signage and the creation of custom artwork pieces that were presented on-field to the honorees. Additionally, we managed communications with sponsors to align expectations and deliverables, ensuring their full engagement and satisfaction.

Stadium Signage & Custom Artwork

A key visual element of the series was the custom artwork we designed for each honoree, which was presented on-field during the events. We also created all stadium signage, ensuring that the branding was consistently represented across all venues.

Short-Content Video Production & Social Media Management

To further amplify the campaign, we produced short-form video content for social media and other promotional platforms. These videos captured highlights from each event, generating significant engagement and buzz online.
